The company Haugen Productions was founded in 2003 by the two sisters Anne Katrine and Liv Hanne Haugen, when they created their first joint performance Sisters. Since then they've produced a long line of works, among them the follower up; Sisters 11 years later in 2014. Both performances are based on their experiences around sisterhood through different phases of life.

Alongside the joint Sister performances, they each have initiated, and taken turns on being artistic responsible for different projects produced under Haugen Productions. In this way, individuality, artistic distinctiveness and their own artistry are kept, but under a common vision and structure. Being able to juggle the different roles of artistic director, performer, choreographer and producer has brought synergy and power to their relationship and their own artistic practice.

Chewing and breathing as dance. A home or a big inflatable bubble as a stage. A dog and a nutritionist as our actors. Our work is aiming to bring together movements that are both familiar and original, and that has freedom and playfulness as strong pillars.
